IMPACT Meals are SafeHouse's first step in relationship building with their friends who are currently experiencing homelessness on the streets of downtown Atlanta. Currently they've been serving about 100 people per evening by packing and serving 'to-go dinners'. Volunteer groups sponsor the meals and team up with SafeHouse staff to help serve the meals and assist in outreach to the people in need. Our role will be to put together and plate the meals in to-go bags or boxes, help SafeHouse with check-in of those receiving meals and then serve the meals along with bottled water. We'll also have some of our team available for outreach and helping keep the outside areas clean by picking up any trash left outside.
